The LCL Awards Level 3 Periodic Inspection & EICR qualification is designed for experienced electrical operatives who wish to enhance their understanding and practical ability in the inspection and testing of existing electrical installations.

Throughout the course, you'll develop your knowledge of safe isolation procedures, electrical testing requirements, inspection techniques and the completion of Electrical Installation Condition Reports (EICRs). You'll learn how to assess the condition of an installation, record findings accurately and communicate the results to clients.

The course combines technical knowledge with practical application, supporting electricians who need to carry out periodic inspection and reporting as part of their professional role.

5. Entry Requirements

This qualification is designed for experienced and practising electrical operatives. It is not suitable for learners with limited electrical experience.

Learners should hold relevant Level 3 electrotechnical qualifications, including an appropriate electrical installation qualification, Initial Verification qualification and current BS 7671 Wiring Regulations qualification. The Approved Centre will assess each learner's suitability before enrolment.
